In 2006, Dr. Sameh Ahmed graduated with a BA in biology from the University of Texas at Austin. He continued his dental education in San Antonio, receiving his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2011. He returned to Austin and has been working as a dentist ever since.

Please meet Dr. Anna! She comes to Texas from her hometown of Des Moines, Iowa, and after completing a General Practice Residency in Los Angeles she moved to Austin where it (almost) never snows! Since settling here she has enjoyed exploring the city and starting a family with her husband. Be sure to ask her about her Guinea pigs! She is excited to meet you and provide you with the high quality care you can expect from the team at The Smile Spot!

Since 2012, Dr. Alejandro Martinez has been providing comprehensive dentistry in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated dental school from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is a member of ADA, Spear Education, Academy of General Dentistry, San Antonio Dental District Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Texas Dental Association. Dr. Alejandro Martinez obtained a Fellowship at the California Implant Institute. He also won the Opencare Patients’ Choice Award. Dr. Martinez has received advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, surgical implant placement and implant restorations, and dental extractions including impacted wisdom teeth.
Outside practicing dentistry, Dr. Martinez enjoys spending time with his friends, playing guitar, and any outdoor adventures like hiking, mountain biking, snow skiing, wakeboarding and camping. He also has a bit of a “pickleball” obsession and is always looking for new people to play with.
His goal as a dentist is to continually improve and evolve as a dentist, giving his patients the best care possible while also providing knowledge to patients about their oral health and proper way to take care of their teeth and gums.

Staff was excellent! Made my insurance verification super quick and easy and was very patient with all my kids. They loved their visit.
Dr. Ahmed was amazing, very delicate. I usually fear to go to the dentist however with him i felt pretty comfortable and calm, pain free! I highly recommend him!
